Squacco Heron

As you would anticipate for the time of year.

Does anybody know where the Red-knobbed Coots have come from? These knobbed arrived some months ago late February ( 2 or more birds ) with no neck collars or rings, I don't know if they've just colonized naturally and/or spread out from El Hondo or have they been introduced. They don't seem to be breeding but are always aggressive to most other birds.

Red-knobbed Coots

Answers on a postcard.

All the Hirundines we're around and plenty of them, lots of those little things like Green Finch, Serin, Long-tailed Tit, Stonechat.

 Long-tailed Tit

Nice and easy birding, it's recommended, give it some time.

avoiding the weekend.

I thought I'd give it a try to continue Mark Etheridge's legacy

Of what's in the clot online? Very big boots to fill?

 Squacco Heron

Go birding and meet new people

 make some news

Cheers bryan
